Power Reliability on Koh Tao for Digital Nomads - Where has generators?

Koh Tao runs on a combination of power supplied by diesel generators and a underwater power line from the mainland via Koh Phangan. Reliability has gotten a lot better since 2017!  In the main areas of Mae Haas and Sairee, power outages are rare and much shorter. Places to stay on Koh Tao - Finding accomodation as a Digital Nomad On Koh Tao

 Places to stay on Koh Tao - lots of hostels/hotels, can also do guesthouses, bungalows, apartments, villas depending on budget and how long you are staying. Agoda is good for research as are FB groups (rooms for rent, bungalows, villas etc etc) There are 4 main areas of Koh Tao: Mae Haad - where the pier is - village area with lots of shops, restaurants, services etc Sairee - largest beach area, north of Mae Head.  Resorts, Hotels, lots of restaurants and is the bar area too.  Better for night life. Chalok - smaller village on the south of Koh Tao,  nice resorts, some good restaurants, quieter area East Side of Koh Tao - over the "mountain" from the pier, some nice bays, much quieter, small resort/bungalow places.  Having a motorbike is a must really.  But a beautiful place to stay.
